Raks Elektrikli Ev Aletleri ("RAKSEV") is one of the leading home appliances, fan and heater manufacturers in Turkey. It is a technology driven company positioned to take advantage of emerging technologies, including those related to heating, ventilating and air conditioning as part of its ongoing research and development efforts.

History
RAKSEV was founded in 1978 under the name of TEKOPLAST to produce cassette housings for its sister company Raks Elektronik. With the integration of Raks Elektronik production at one modern factory in 1984, RAKSEV diversified into small electrical home appliances including electrical cooling and exhaust fans, mini washing machines and quartz wall clocks.

Through the development of a cost effective production process, capable of manufacturing at global quality standards, the company is able to sell to worldwide export markets. RAKSEV  used its dominant 80% market share in the domestic electrical fan segment as a base for its subsequent diversification into air conditioners, LPG heaters and ceiling fans.

RAKSEV became a publicly owned company after its Initial Public Offering in November 1994 when 30% of its shares were sold at the Istanbul Stock Exchange.

Future Prospects

Future incremental growth is likely to come from;

•RAKSEV’s ability to manufacture electric fans, stoves (LPG and Natural Gas fueled) and electrical household appliances at a low cost. RAKSEV currently sells these products under its own brand name in the domestic market and into developing markets where technologically mature products can still find good growth opportunities.

•RAKSEV’s position as an important OEM producer with a competitive cost structure and reliable quality. Raks Ev’s current capacity and relative geographical proximity to important markets puts the company in an ideal position for cooperation with the leading manufacturers, as an OEM supplier.

•RAKSEV's ability to diversify into other heating and ventilating products. While present output is through an assembly line in air conditioners, the company has the capability to quickly move to other products with minimal modifications to existing technology and production techniques.

Technology & Production

The Company’s state-of-the-art technology enables RAKSEV to attain a dominant share in the domestic market for electrical fans and compete with top competitors around the world.

Key intangible assets are;
